The mega department is set to grow further, taking back control of settlement services and adult migrant education which had been managed by the Social Services and Education departments since 2013.

Celebrating the Filipino Community

Filipino Community of SheppartonGreater Shepparton’s Filipino community will take over Maude St Mall on Saturday for the latest Culture Corner showcase. Filipino community members will share traditional clothing, music, food and drinks, including the much-loved bihon noodles and spring rolls, as part of a Greater Shepparton City Council multicultural initiative to highlight the city’s cultural diversity.

CALD Aged Care Diversity Framework Action Plan

action plans for cald and diversity consumers The Aged Care Diversity Framework Action Plans will act as a guiding resource that will assist government and aged care service providers to address specific barriers and challenges faced by older people with diverse characteristics and life experiences. In addition, action plans have been developed for consumers. FECCA is advocating with the Department of Health for the CALD Consumer Action Plan to be translated into a range of languages.
