Shepparton’s Samoan Community has a contestant in the Miss Samoa Victoria pageant – to be selected in two weeks. You can find out more on the ABC’s Pacific Mornings broadcast.
It’s about connecting the contestants to their Samoan roots and sharing Samoan culture with the Australian community.
After a month of cultural performances, preparing for the big event, the four young women vying for the title led the event Village Life as a show of tautua (or service).
Pacific Mornings’ Tahlea Aualiitia spoke to Norah Li’o Setu Aloiai, the reigning Miss Samoa Victoria, as well as the four contestants: Alalamalae Gabriel Rata, Rosevellaryn Brown Fane, Zahriya Sina Fuala’au Leaoasoma and Queny Eteuati Fonoia
