Greater Shepparton City Council’s popular multicultural initiative Culture Corner will take a break in November due to the forecast rain. That break will continue throughout the holiday period of December 2019 and January 2020, before returning “bigger and better” in February.
Greater Shepparton’s Chinese Community participated the monthly Culture Corner in Maude Street Mall on Saturday 5th of October from 10am – 2pm, showcasing some of their traditional clothing, music, food kung-fu and welcomed their new Chinese Lion with inauguration and blessing.

Greater Shepparton’s Afghan Community will take over Maude Street Mall on Saturday 7 September from 10am-2pm, showcasing some of their traditional clothing, music, food and their well known dances.
Greater Shepparton’s Syrian community will take over the Mall from 10am-2pm, showcasing some of their traditional clothing, music, food and drinks including their much-loved kebabs and falafel wraps.
Greater Shepparton’s Filipino community will take over Maude St Mall on Saturday for the latest Culture Corner showcase. Filipino community members will share traditional clothing, music, food and drinks, including the much-loved bihon noodles and spring rolls, as part of a Greater Shepparton City Council multicultural initiative to highlight the city’s cultural diversity.
Culture Corner is held on the First Saturday of the Month. Culture Corner – in Maude Street Mall – for June will celebrate Filipino Independence Day on Saturday June 1st.
