VMC recognises Hazelman for contribution to CALD community

A stalwart of the Shepparton CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) community, Chris Hazelman has been celebrated for his contribution to the Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District.

Mr Hazelman was presented with a trophy plaque by Victorian Multicultural Commission chair Viv Nguyen as a token of appreciation for his service to the Ethnic Council at the VMC Hume Regional Advisory Council meeting on Thursday, July 27.

Business Support during the Pandemic for Multicultural Business – Arabic

Ethnic Council of Shepparton in partnership with City of Greater Shepparton and Small Business Victoria will provide an online session detailing support available for multicultural and CALD business owners during the lockdown. Simultaneous Arabic and English language support will be provided. The session takes place online on Thursday, 16 September 2021.

Community Cup brings community together

There was plenty of fun and laughs shared at the fourth edition of the Community Cup on Sunday 24 February. Spectators were treated to a round-robin style competition at Victory Park, which featured teams comprised of members from the indigenous, and multicultural communities and members from Victoria Police.

GV African Australian Community Taskforce Launch

The Goulburn Valley’s African community leaders have partnered with Victoria Police in launching an African Australian Community Taskforce. The official launch, held on Thursday 24 January 2018 at St Paul’s African House in Shepparton, saw about 40 people from many local organisations gather to support the launch of the African-Australian Community Taskforce.
