In December 2024, the Premier of Victoria, Jacinta Allan, announced several measures to address social cohesion challenges and strengthen community harmony. One of these measures was the launch of Victoria’s Multicultural Review, aimed at strengthening and celebrating our state’s vibrant multicultural communities.
The Review will be led by George Lekakis AO, a respected multicultural leader, who will be supported by a targeted advisory group of community experts, including Hass Dellal AO, Carmel Guerra OAM, Miriam Suss OAM and Mark Duckworth PSM.
As part of the Review, community consultation sessions will be held both online and in person across 10 local government areas in regional and metropolitan Victoria.
The Review will focus on shaping policies, institutions, and programs that reflect and support the needs of our diverse communities.
