Cr Dobson presented on the regional development of Shepparton from a number of perspectives relevant to the work of the Ethnic Council, particularly in the area of settlement and providing services to new settlement communities of Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley.

Sam Atukorala being inducted When Sam Atukorala came to Australia, he never saw himself being anything but a banker, let alone landing himself on the Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll. Mr Atukorala was among 28 people chosen in the first-ever Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll, created to recognise individuals who have made lasting contributions to multiculturalism in the state.

Multicultural Women's Health Expo

For Refugee Week, Wise Women Well in collaboration with the Ethnic Council will hold a Multicultural Women’s Health Expo at St Paul’s African House on Wednesday 29 June from 10:00-2:30pm. Childcare and Lunch will be provided for all attending. Many local agencies will be participating in this event. Language help is available for Arabic along with Sudanese, Syrian, Hazaragi, Dari, Farsi, Dinka, Arabic, Swahili, Gikuyu, Sinhala, Kirundi, Tagalog.
