This video was prepared and produced by Communities from Afghanistan for the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Multicultural Communities project, with the aim of encouraging open dialogue about mental health and how to seek help.
Refugee Women’s Health Community Consultation Project
The Refugee Women’s Health Community Consultation Report has been released, sharing key findings and recommendations to help inform the Victorian Government on their Women’s Health Reform initiatives. This project, coordinated by the Victorian Refugee Health Network, centred the lived and living experiences of women from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds accessing and navigating the Victorian health system.

The Victorian Government’s Digital Jobs program is building the state’s digital workforce by training and upskilling mid-career Victorians so they can transition into digital careers. Information is available in Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Urdu and Vietnamese.

Uniting Vic/Tas has a Jobs Victoria Mentor service – a program designed to assist individuals who may be encountering challenges in finding employment. This service is available locally serving the City of Greater Shepparton.

The guide was published as part of the Migrant and Refugee Inclusive Disaster Recovery and Response project and is funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
Experience Albania in Shepparton
A VIBRANT celebration of Albanian culture is set to hit town again with the 25th annual Shepparton Albanian Harvest Festival, on Sunday, March 3 at Queens Gardens. Building on the success of the 2023 festival, this year’s event is expected to be the largest yet. The festival, one of the largest community-run events in Shepparton, offers a unique showcase of Albanian traditions, music, and cuisine.
Multicultural Rental Rights Forum – March 2024
The Victorian Multicultural Commission and Tenants Victoria will jointly host a multicultural renters forum online – Wednesday 6 March 2024, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.. Attendance is FREE and this is important to all refugees, asylum seekers and CALD community members to attend and learn their rights.
