Familycare are hosting several community information sessions for carers over the coming months focussing on carer support and the Carer Gateway. There are two sessions scheduled for February at Shepparton and Mooroopna. Carers don’t need to register, they can drop in between the times listed below and have their questions answered.
Shepparton Council is organising a weekly catch up for CALD women – that is, women who have migrated, women who have settled here in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley. Every Thursday at Shepparton Library from 10:00 am. This event is specially prepared for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Women.
Goulburn Valley Libraries, and Behind The Wire, invites you to attend the community launch of a photographic exhibition of two dozen people in immigration detention at Shepparton Library on 11 February 2021 at 6pm.
A new exhibition, They Cannot Take the Sky: Stories from Detention, tells the stories of people who have sought and are seeking asylum and refuge in Australia. They Cannot Take the Sky opens at the Shepparton Library, on Monday March 16th and will run until Friday 15th May.
The Greater Shepparton Women’s Charter Advisory Committee, in partnership with Goulburn Valley Libraries will conduct an event at Shepparton Library examining representation – under and over – of women in the media on Friday, 31 January, 6-8pm. This is a view and chat event examining representation of women in the media.
