Men’s Health Week: 12-18 June

Men’s Health Week is celebrated every year around the world in the middle of June, and in 2023 the dates are June 12-18. It is an important opportunity to highlight the importance of men’s health, and to promote and support the health and wellbeing of men and boys in our communities. The theme for Men’s Health Week 2023 is “Healthy Habits”.

‘Forest of protection’ for child vaccinations

The state-run COVID-19 vaccination site at Shepparton Showgrounds is being transformed into an Australian-themed ‘forest of protection’ to create a friendly environment for children aged five to 11 years to receive their vaccination.

Standard Mental Health First Aid

Standard Mental Health First Aid is offered in Shepparton as a free, two-day course. Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The sessions will commence at the Senior Citizens Centre on Thursday 12 September and Thursday 19 September.
