Goulburn Valley Public Health Unit Clinical Director Dr. Will Cross has urged asthma sufferers and people with breathing problems to take extra precautions during the Spring season.

As we head into grass pollen season, which runs from October to December, people are at increased risk of hay fever and asthma. There is also a higher risk of thunderstorm asthma, which causes a large number of people to develop asthma symptoms over a short period of time. It is important to protect yourself this pollen season. The Department of Health has translated resources available, including posters, social media content and brochures in 28 languages
The Insurance Council of Australia will be in attendance at the Sir Ian McLennan Centre, Mooroopna, on afternoon of Wednesday, 20 September from 1pm – 6pm. The Fashion Show – curated by the Goulburn Valley Seniors Association Inc. – is for women aged 60 and above – wearing traditional dress.
