SBS has this week launched SBS WorldWatch, an all-new free-to-air multilingual news channel. The dedicated 24-hour channel features news bulletins from leading international broadcasters in more than 35 languages, and is home to SBS’s Arabic and Mandarin television news bulletins – SBS عربي News and SBS 中文 News. The launch of the channel builds on SBS’ expanding range of multilingual services for audiences across TV, radio and digital platforms.
FREE flu vaccinations are now available at the Shepparton Vaccination Hub, McIntosh Centre, Shepparton Showgrounds. Walk-ins are available at any time. COVID-19 vaccinations can also be given at the same time, if people are due.

The Australian Technical Advisory Committee on Immunisation (ATAGI) has recommended that eligibility for a winter dose of the COVID-19 vaccine be expanded to include people aged 16 to 64 who have a medical condition that increases the risk of severe COVID-19 illness, or disabilities with significant or complex health needs or multiple co-morbidities that increase the risk of poor outcomes from COVID-19 infection.
South Sudanese Australian young people are over-represented in the Victorian youth justice system. In 2022, an Expert Working Group is being established to address this. It will work to provide young people with pathways to living better lives as part of the Victorian community.
Shepparton Ethnic Council welcomes the community to participate in a day of discovery of Shepparton’s unique Multicultural communities on Monday 20th of June 2022. Primary Care Connect conduct the Refugee Health Nurse Program. This program is available to any member of the community from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse background living in the Shepparton and Goulburn Valley catchment area.
Primary Care Connect conducts a free Refugee Trauma Counselling program. Those who have come to Australia on humanitarian protection visa (refugee) or as an asylum seeker are eligible for this program.
Refugee Week is Australia’s peak annual activity to inform the public about refugees and celebrate positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society. In observance of Refugee Week 2022, the Ethnic Council – collaboration with GOTAFE – will host Thon’s Long Walk from Sudan to Shepparton at the Harder Auditorium on Wednesday 22 June at 10:00 am.
The Victorian Government is supporting small business owners, their employees and trusted advisers with helpful tools and services through Headway – a wellbeing initiative for small businesses. A range of free services is available including business advice, financial counselling, and mental health and wellbeing support.
