Successful night for POD — addressing seasonal worker health
On the night of Wednesday, March 8, Point of Difference Studio, now in Shepparton, held an information session for over 200 Pacific Island seasonal workers living in the Goulburn Valley.

The Victorian Multicultural Commission and Tenants Victoria will jointly host a multicultural renters forum online – on Tuesday 28 March 23, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Attendance is FREE and this is important to all refugees, asylum seekers and CALD community members to attend and learn their rights.
NDIS – Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Strategy
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is co-designing a new Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD) Strategy and action plan. They are doing this by working with people with disability from CALD backgrounds. They want to make sure this strategy meets the needs of people with disability from all cultures and communities. The Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria has partnered with the Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) to release a joint statement, titled Preventing alcohol and other drug harm in multicultural communities, highlighting the significant barriers migrant and refugee communities face in accessing alcohol and other drug (AOD) support.
New Multicultural Disability Hub
The Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria launched the Multicultural Disability Hub, a portal on their website that brings together work supporting and advocating for people with disability in migrant and refugee communities. The Hub contains a wealth of information, including the latest policy publications on disability, in-language resources as well as a directory of support services. Also in place is a Digital Accessibility Tool to make our website more accessible.
