New Multicultural Disability Hub

New Multicultural Disability HubThe Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria launched the Multicultural Disability Hub, a portal on their website that brings together work supporting and advocating for people with disability in migrant and refugee communities. The Hub contains a wealth of information, including the latest policy publications on disability, in-language resources as well as a directory of support services. Also in place is a Digital Accessibility Tool to make our website more accessible.

Welcome to our new Multicultural Disability Hub. This hub was developed as a resource for people with disability from migrant and refugee communities, their families, carers, as well as the disability sector.

People with disability from migrant and refugee backgrounds face multiple, overlapping disadvantages and barriers and can find it difficult accessing the NDIS and other available support.

Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria promotes the rights and needs of people with disability from migrant and refugee backgrounds through our advocacy and policy work, including consultations and research to inform government policy and programs and improve inclusion and equity.

We run a range of programs and coordinate the statewide disability network and deliver self-advocacy training to empower people with disability from migrant and refugee communities.

This hub includes an overview of our work as well as information on disability in culturally diverse communities, resources, in-language information and our multicultural disability directory.
