Welcome to the Annual General Meeting of the Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District Inc.
The past 12 months have been both rewarding and challenging, particularly due to significant funding cuts that have impacted our operations and service delivery. Despite these challenges, our organisation has continued to demonstrate resilience, commitment, and strong leadership in supporting multicultural communities across the Goulburn Valley.

The Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District Inc is a peak body whose mission is to promote and represent the social, cultural, economic well-being of ethnic communities in the Goulburn Valley Region through the provision of quality and innovative settlement, refugee support, community development and information and advocacy services.

It is very pleasing this year that we can conduct an in person Annual General Meeting after last year being so impacted by Covid that Government permitted community associations to continue without the need for an AGM. The Ethnic Council complied with all of the legal requirements including an independent audit, the preparation of an annual report and statutory reporting to Consumer Affairs.
Chris Hazelman, Manager of the Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District Inc., gives one Annual Report for year 2021 on 30 November 2021. The report provides a comprehensive overview of the Ethnic Council’s activities for the year 2021, and response to Covid-19 along with allocation of staff to the Vaccination Centre.

Chris Hazelman OAM, Manager of the Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District Inc., delivered the Annual Report for Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District activities for the year 2020 at teh Annual General Meeting held on 28 September 2020. The report focusses on the response to Covid-19 and the challenges this placed on staff with the delivery of programs and service delivery to those seeking assistance of Community Development officers.
