Mental Health and Stigma in Congolese, Arabic-speaking and Mandarin-speaking Communities

Embrace: Multicultural Mental HealthEmbrace Multicultural Mental Health will conduct a webinar on Understanding Mental Health and Stigma in Congolese, Arabic-speaking and Mandarin-speaking Communities. This is an opportunity for you to hear about the key findings and to better understand mental health and stigma of CALD communities, in particular those from Arabic, African and Chinese communities. The zoom session will take place from 1.00pm – 2.00pm (AEDT) on Monday 14 November.


Join us to hear more about a research piece conducted by Western Sydney University in collaboration with the Embrace Multicultural Mental Health Project (the Embrace Project). The research was funded by Mental Health Australia Ltd as part of the Embrace Multicultural Mental Health Project.

The research piece Understanding Mental Health and Stigma in Congolese, Arabic-speaking and Mandarin-speaking Communities will be presented by Associate Professor Shameran Slewa-Younan, University of Western Sydney.

This is an opportunity for you to hear about the key findings and to better understand mental health and stigma of CALD communities, in particular those from Arabic, African and Chinese communities.

Western Sydney University and the Embrace Project will be presenting on the research and provide key insights and findings from the research. You can also access a Literature Review on Mental Health and Stigma in Three Specific Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities: Arabic, African and Chinese.
