Multicultural mental health survey – Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District

The Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria’s newly-formed Victorian Multicultural Mental Health Network is inviting mental health service providers, policymakers and people with lived experience from migrant and refugee backgrounds to take part in an online survey. The survey results will be used to inform a discussion paper looking at the experience of multicultural communities in accessing mental health support and how access to culturally responsive services can be improved.

The Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria is inviting mental health service providers, policymakers and people from migrant and refugee backgrounds with lived experience to take part in an online survey.

The survey will help inform a discussion paper examining the lived experience of diverse communities in accessing mental health support and how access to culturally responsive mental health services can be improved.

The discussion paper is part of the advocacy work of the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria’s newly-formed Victorian Multicultural Mental Health Network, chaired by Victorian Multicultural Commissioner and clinical neuropsychologist Dr Judy Tang.

The Network is a platform for key agencies, community organisations, researchers, clinical experts, advocates, carers and people with lived experience to share information and collaborate to promote the mental health needs of people from migrant and refugee backgrounds through an evidence-informed, strategic approach to policy and system design.

There are three separate surveys as part of this research. Are you an individual with lived experience, a policymaker, or a service provider? Please click the one that best describes you.

All information gathered as part of the surveys will be de-identified. Your permission will be sought should we wish to publish a case study or use specific quotes.

The surveys will take about 45 minutes to complete.

All survey participants will go into a draw to win a $100 voucher.
