Ethnic Council is seeking new Members

As we deal with the effects of COVID, and the Floods, the Ethnic Council is seeking to rejuvenate its membership and potentially look forward to introducing new members to our Board of Management. Like most community-based organisations, the Ethnic Council has experienced a decline in membership during COVID and is attempting to recruit new members to assist in determining the Councils future direction and to maintain our membership entitlement of FECCA and ECCV which relies on maintaining a viable membership base.

The Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District Inc. is a peak body whose mission is to promote and represent the social, cultural, and economic well-being of ethnic communities in the Goulburn Valley Region through the provision of quality and innovative settlement, refugee support, community development and information and advocacy services.

Our Management is changing, and the current Board is eager to attract new members to continue to maintain our standing as a major service provider to multicultural communities and our reputation across the sector.

The Ethnic Council membership has categories of representing a community and this application would be endorsed by the community association leader and also has a membership for individuals who have skills and capacity to provide services to the Council.
