FECCA, as part of an alliance with the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) and Mental Health Australia (MHA), are working on a project about multicultural mental health called ‘Embrace’, focusing on mental health and suicide prevention for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Project staff, together with consumers, carers and stakeholders, have further developed the Framework for Mental Health in Multicultural Australia (the Framework). The Framework was developed to help organisations and individuals evaluate their cultural responsiveness and enhance delivery of services for CALD communities.

FECCA and NEDA will begin community consultations across Australia to inform stigma reduction and information dissemination activities to CALD communities. These consultations aim to meet a cross section of the CALD community.
