Mental Wellbeing During Uncertainty

Muslim Professionals AssociationThe Muslim Professionals Association is hosting a series of webinars to support the community through the global pandemic. The series aims to provide a platform where professionals are able to share reliable information from their respective fields.

It has been a testing period for many across the community – some have lost their jobs, others have suffered health issues, and we no longer have the same levels of freedom and comfort of family and friends.

Coping with change, uncertainty and loneliness are amongst the ‘new normal’ challenges brought by Covid-19, and it’s
important we all come together to get advice and hear about the support we can access to help manage and navigate through some testing times.

This session will cover how to:

  • Normalise anxiety in the current climate
  • Differentiate regular anxiety and anxiety orders
  • Understand the Thoughts-Feeling-Behaviour connection
  • Create strategies and understand why they work
  • Consider what Islam says on seeking help
