Our Creative Writing Hub is back for Term 4! Enjoy an excellent story by regular participant Richard below, based around three picture cards from Innovative Resource’s “Storycatching” card deck. Cards: under water, picnic, confined space. This is excellent English writing for those who have recently settled in Australia.
Shepparton Story House is primarily English classes, meant to help English learners in the beautifully diverse city of Shepparton in Victoria, Australia. Yet it is more than just learning English. Our curriculum focuses on empowering students as they learn to talk about themselves: their lives and their stories.
Beyond our English classes, we have a Creative Writing Hub, open to English learners and native English speakers alike. This is a Saturday gathering for those who love to write and for those who long to write to be inspired and encouraged on their creative journeys.
Finally, we have our central connection point, our Story Platform, which we hope will soon be a space for those from all of our classes and programs to come together monthly to share stories.

We have three levels of English classes that meet Monday-Thursday evenings during school terms, twice each, plus some different weekend classes. You can read more about our program and different classes on our wordpress site: https://sheppartonstoryhouse.wordpress.com
