Creative Writing Hub

Creative Writing HubOur Creative Writing Hub is back for Term 4! Enjoy an excellent story by regular participant Richard below, based around three picture cards from Innovative Resource’s “Storycatching” card deck. Cards: under water, picnic, confined space. This is excellent English writing for those who have recently settled in Australia.

Interested in Creative Writing? Just want to polish your writing skills? Or simply want a creative space to produce new ideas each week? Come join us each Saturday during Term 4 at 10am as we chat and write together with a weekly writing workshop.

Shepparton Story House is primarily English classes, meant to help English learners in the beautifully diverse city of Shepparton in Victoria, Australia. Yet it is more than just learning English. Our curriculum focuses on empowering students as they learn to talk about themselves: their lives and their stories.

Beyond our English classes, we have a Creative Writing Hub, open to English learners and native English speakers alike. This is a Saturday gathering for those who love to write and for those who long to write to be inspired and encouraged on their creative journeys.

Finally, we have our central connection point, our Story Platform, which we hope will soon be a space for those from all of our classes and programs to come together monthly to share stories.

You can read some writings from our Hub participants here: https://sheppartonstoryhouse.wordpress.com/creative-writing-hub/

We have three levels of English classes that meet Monday-Thursday evenings during school terms, twice each, plus some different weekend classes. You can read more about our program and different classes on our wordpress site: https://sheppartonstoryhouse.wordpress.com

To enrol, contact us 0467 644 457 or message us on our Facebook page.
