Free assistance is available for Culturally And Linguistically Diverse families impacted by COVID-19. In language support is also available for Amharic, Arabic, Dari, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Oromo and Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Spanish, Tigrinya, Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese languages. Interpreters are also available for other language groups.

Do you know a family that needs support?

Some culturally and linguistically diverse communities were disproportionately affected by COVID-19. The Victorian Government created the Family Recovery Program, delivered by cohealth, to help families overcome COVID-19 related interruptions to employment, education, and mental health.

What is involved?
cohealth will provide coordinated, culturally responsive case management support to families for a 3-month period.

A case manager will work with the whole family to:

understand the needs of all family members
develop goals
identify required supports
develop a recovery plan

This plan is monitored and reviewed with the family to ensure their support needs are met and goals are achieved. The case manager will work with the family’s existing workers and introduce new services where needed.

Who is eligible?
The program is for culturally and linguistically diverse families who have experienced disruption or been adversely impacted by COVID-19. This may include people who have:

had a positive COVID-19 diagnosis
been close contacts (primary or secondary)
had to isolate or quarantine.

What does it cost?
Free. There is no cost for this program.
