In the light of the Christchurch Massacre, a local initiative – Community Conversations – driven by the young people of Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley will take place at Queens Gardens tomorrow evening – March 26th, from 6:30 pm.

This event has the sponsorship of Hijack’d, Know Your Roots, Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District, Latrobe University and the City of Greater Shepparton.

Greater Shepparton Youth of Colour & Culture invites you to attend a community conversation forum to discuss the importance of community support in tragic times. Following the recent terrorism attack in Christchurch, the Greater Shepparton community is encouraged to attend and show their support.

Pre-event food to be served from 6.00pm.

There will be a panel of guest speakers – and a lawyer will be on hand to respond to legal questions. Come and hear the concerns and responses of our youth to terrorism and extremism and nourish the conversation, a conversation towards peace and harmony.

Those who are local religious leaders are encouraged to attend, as the message the young people want to give is one of unity and solidarity.
