Published in pairs for each episode titled ‘Women, Art and Activism’, these podcasts are a true example of social inclusion within cultural diversity.

Episode 1: Wemi Oyekanmi and Julie Pagonis

Wemi arrived in Australia from Nigeria in 1991 as a 33 year old mother of three young children. She holds a bachelor degree in sociology, a postgraduate diploma in education, and a Masters in Economics from Leeds University, UK.

Julie Pagonis was born at sea on a migrant ship called Junmouriet en route to Australia from Cyprus in 1955. Following in her father’s footsteps, she has worked as a union activist since the 1970s.
