“Protecting Our Communities” is a 15-language video series produced by the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria to help combat ongoing vaccine hesitancy, and promote living safely with COVID-19 to seniors from migrant and refugee communities. In this video, we introduce Vincent Li, who is a pharmacist in Box Hill.

The videos feature inspiring leaders and trusted voices from our diverse migrant and refugee communities, talking about their vaccination journey, and how they were able to overcome misinformation and hesitancy and play an important role informing, supporting and protecting seniors in their communities.

The videos are a useful tool to engage with seniors, their families and their communities about the benefits of vaccination and the importance of continuing to practice safe behaviours as we adjust to living with COVID-19.

Vincent Li

Vincent has been working as a pharmacist in Box Hill since he migrated to Australia from Hong Kong 30 years ago. People in his community, especially the elderly, have had many questions about COVID-19 vaccines. He is always happy to answer these questions. His wife, Lisa, is also a pharmacist and has been supporting the community as a vaccine champion. Vincent is proud that they are helping so many people protect themselves by getting vaccinated.
