Mental Health and Wellbeing of Diverse Communities

Mental Health and Wellbeing of Diverse CommunitiesThe Victorian Government is developing a new Diverse Communities Framework and Blueprint for Action to improve the mental health and wellbeing of culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTIQ+ people and people with disability.

Everyone should be able to access the support they need for good mental health and wellbeing. But the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System told us that is not always true for people from diverse communities.

The Victorian Government is developing a new Diverse Communities Framework and Blueprint for Action to improve the mental health and wellbeing of culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTIQ+ people and people with disability.

If you are part of one or more of these communities, are a family member, carer or supporter or work with these communities, we want to hear from you. Your ideas to improve mental health supports can help us plan for a better future.

How to take part

We are holding group conversations in October 2022, both online and in-person.

Go to this link to find out more about the group conversations or skip ahead and book your place via Eventbrite. Numbers are limited so please book as soon as you can.

Other engagement opportunities

You might also be interested in engagement opportunities for other mental health reforms that are relevant to diverse communities. You can find out more about what’s happening at this link. If you’re already part of other engagements and have provided feedback that is relevant to this work, we’ll make sure it’s incorporated into the Framework and Blueprint.

We hope to see you at the group conversations and continue to work in partnership with you and your communities in this important work!
