Parent Information Nights are being conducted at Wanganui Park Secondary Collge and McGuire College to bring parents up to date with changes of campus, transport, uniforms, like this. These sessions will SPECIFICALLY CATER TO PARENTS WHO DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. Translators will be available to help.

Greater Shepparton City Council’s popular multicultural initiative Culture Corner will take a break in November due to the forecast rain. That break will continue throughout the holiday period of December 2019 and January 2020, before returning “bigger and better” in February.

Many students in Shepparton Schools participating in the Know Your Roots workshops have been busy preparing for the Pasifika Festival and will be participating. In 1940, Erwin Fabian was deported to Australia alongside some 2000 other ‘enemy aliens’. He was a Dunera boy who was interned in Camp 2 at Tatura. He was just 25. Today, he is one of Australia’s most significant modern artists, with a decades-long career as a sculptor and painter. An exhibition of the work of Erwin Fabian opened at Tatura Museum on 15 September 2019 at 1:00pm.
