Elder abuse prevention training

Elder abuse trainingThere are still spots available for ECCV’s bicultural community educator training which will run over two days: 14 and 21 May. This free training program is offered as part of the Ethnic Community Council of Victoria – Elder Abuse Awareness project, and aims to equip people with the skills and resources to deliver in-language community workshops on how to prevent, identify and respond to elder abuse. Educators are paid for the sessions they run.

Palliative Care: Matters of Life and Death

Palliative Care: Matters of Life and DeathPalliative Care Victoria is partnering with Merri Health and Carer Gateway to host a ‘Matters of Life and Death’ information session in Broadmeadows on Wednesday, 22 May as part of Palliative Care Week which runs from 19 to 25 May. The free information session will be delivered in Arabic and is aimed at Arabic-speaking carers who want to learn more about palliative care services for themselves and their loved ones. There are limited spots available.

This includes links to emergency relief support, resources on how to look after yourself and supporting others as well as information on how to utilise their Restoring Family Links services.
