Life Saving Victoria will deliver a Water Safety Workshop at Aquamoves Shepparton on Thursday 26 October 2023 from 10:30am. Life Saving Victoria is planning to assemble a diverse array of local stakeholders to participate in this event, ensuring that the topics under discussion accurately reflect the perspectives and experiences of all those engaged in advancing water safety within the region.

Life Saving Victoria is pleased to announce that it has secured Federal Government funding through Emergency Management Victoria’s Risk and Resilience Grants Program. This funding, provided under the National Partnership Agreement on Disaster Risk Reduction (NPA), empowers us to embark on a vital mission in the Shepparton region. Our efforts will focus on enhancing local water safety, ensuring that the community can enjoy its aquatic resources with utmost confidence and peace of mind.

As part of this funding, Life Saving Victoria is aiming to deliver a workshop that intends to get the local perspective on water safety issues facing this region and to identify clear prevention activities that can take place. Aligned with this, Life Saving Victoria is exploring the opportunity to deliver a patrolled location in the upcoming summer season for this region, as well as a number of programs and activities. Therefore, this workshop will play a pivotal role in steering Life Saving Victoria towards identifying ideal locations for these activities and pinpointing the precise target audiences that deserve our focused attention.

The workshop will be guided, and facilitators will aim to draw out each attendees’ perspectives and priorities when it comes to water safety for the Shepparton region. Life Saving Victoria is planning to assemble a diverse array of local stakeholders to participate in this event, ensuring that the topics under discussion accurately reflect the perspectives and experiences of all those engaged in advancing water safety within the region.
