Tenants Victoria will hold a Facebook Live forum on renter rights for the Afghan community in Victoria with live translation in Dari.
The online event is on Wednesday 6 December from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Our expert tenancy lawyer Ben Cording will discuss practical topics for people currently renting or planning to rent soon, accompanied by an interpreter who will simultaneously translate proceedings into the Dari language.
Among the topics are useful tips when applying for a rental, how to avoid scams and what to do when the landlord delays getting repairs done.
The session is held in a partnership with United Cultural Support Inc and the Victorian Afghan Associations Network.
