Latrobe University – Department of Humanities – will present a one-day symposium in Bendigo on 12 November 2019 which will discuss research and practice insights for socially sustainable regional migration and multiculturalism.
The symposium will bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss learnings and insights that contribute to socially sustainable regional migration, and to the further development of multi- and interculturalism policies and practice.
The program includes a panel with representatives from the community sector, service providers and other stakeholders from different regional sites (including Shepparton, Bendigo and Mildura); presentations by academic researchers with strong track records in researching regional and rural migration and multiculturalism-related issues; and discussions of research and policy gaps and future research needs.
