Prepare yourself for a taste of Afghani, Filipino, Greek, Iraqi, Indian, Malaysian, Nepalese, Sri Lankan, Spanish, Syrian and Vietnamese cultures made by locals from recipes passed down through the generations.
“Greater Shepparton is known for its multiculturalism and diverse communities, so it’s only fitting we celebrate this by allowing locals and visitors the chance to experience a taste of these cultures,” Greater Shepparton City Council’s sustainable development director Geraldine Christou said.
Along with delicious food, people can enjoy multicultural dances, performances and cooking demonstrations accompanied by a performance from the Heard Instinct Collective, which was performing at the Land of Plenty music festival in Shepparton later this year.
Bring your families and friends down for a great day out celebrating the Greater Shepparton community.
“What you experience here is different to any other festival, the love for the food, culture and tradition is paramount,” Ms Christou said.
While food is the main aspect of this event, it also offers a stage program and a wide variety of cultural activities. Come along and enjoy a range of multicultural foods and entertainment.
