Association of Australian Tertiary Students from Afghanistan LogoThe Association of Australian Tertiary Students from Afghanistan (AATSA) will conduct a conference on ‘Issues affecting Afghan-Australians and creating solutions’ in Adelaide on 7 December 2019.

Conference Aim

Taking place in Adelaide, the theme of this conference is ‘Issues affecting Afghan-Australians and creating solutions‘.

The Afghan-Australian Conference is a one of a kind platform which aims to promote education, critical thinking and unity. The conference will serve to unite the Afghan-Australian community across the national level by encouraging collaboration within existing networks and organisations.

The purpose of this conference is for participants to leave the program with in-depth and sound knowledge of the issues the Afghan-Australian Diaspora face. As equally as important, participants will collaboratively brainstorm how they can make a real difference to the improvement of these issues.

What are the current methods and limitations? How can we bring the community together and have a unified and more efficient method?

It is an academic association, which aims to promote education and provide opportunities for growth and development for the Afghan-Australian community. AATSA encourages students of Afghan background in Australia to better understand higher education, and to be informed about the structure and functions of university studies. Our members are committed volunteers, who act on the basis of goodwill, within the structure of the association.
