Shane Sali
What does multiculturalism mean to Shepparton?
As I am from a migrant family I have been told of the challenges my grandparents faced while starting their new life here.
One thing is for certain, we as a family are grateful for the opportunity Shepparton and the region has given us.
What specific services should council provide to support these communities?
- Council will need to continue a strong working relationship with the Ethnic council, to keep offering opportunities to new and existing migrants, so we all have a sense of inclusiveness which makes our region a leader in multiculturalism.
- Post covid, the continuing of our very successful cultural events play a big part in showcasing our inclusive city.
