Buddha Purnima CelebrationJoin the Shepparton Buddhist Community along with Buddhists across Australia as they commemorate the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and passing. Buddhism is one of the world’s oldest philosophies of non-violence and has practised peaceful relations with all humankind for over 2600 years. In this day and age, Buddhism continues to promote peace through the practice of mindfulness. There will be a celebration of Vesak in Queens Gardens, Shepparton, on Saturday, 18 May 2019.

New Charter of Aged Care Rights

Ageing and Aged CareStarting 01 July 2019, the new Charter of Aged Care Rights will take in effect providing rights to all consumers receiving Government subsidised aged care, including: Residential care, Home care packages, Flexible care, and Services provided under the Commonwealth Home support Programme and the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program. This charter also applies to Aged Care to those who have settled here from other countries and have taken out citizenship.
