2022 Active Citizenship Leadership Program

The Active Citizenship Leadership Program provides an opportunity for up to 25 emerging leaders (18 years +) from Victoria’s Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities to develop their leadership skills, capabilities, and confidence to champion active participation in the democratic process within their communities. 

Local Council Elections

Local council elections will be held in Victoria by post in October 2020. The Victorian Electoral Commission has mailed ballot packs to enrolled voters between Tuesday 6 and Thursday 8 October. There will be special sessions online for CALD – people of different languages to learn how to vote in Council Elections.

	The Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District acknowledges the Yorta Yorta People of the land which comprises the Goulburn Valley. We pay respect to tribal Elders, past, present and emerging and we celebrate their continuing culture and acknowledge the memory of their ancestors.
	The Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District is a peak body whose mission is to promote and represent the social, cultural and economic well-being of ethnic communities in the Goulburn Valley Region through the provision of quality and innovative settlement, refugee support, community development, and information and advocacy services.
