Equatoria region in South SudanThe annual FECAA National Conference will be held from 4 -5 October 2019 at the University of South Australia. FECAA is the peak national body representing the Equatoria Community (commonly known as Equatorians) in Australia. The Equatorians compose of 36 different ethics tribes, out of 64 tribes, in South Sudan. All these 36 tribes are from linguistically diverse backgrounds but see themselves as one under the Equatoria banner.

Shepparton takes a lead on refugees

In recent years, the island has become a gateway to Europe for countless refugees fleeing violence and oppression across the Middle East. He picks up a child’s lifejacket emblazoned with the cartoon of a happy, running child. The normally cool and composed Melbourne barrister is visibly moved.

Parenting in the Digital World – Dolly’s Dream

Dolly’s Dream was set up in memory of Amy ‘Dolly’ Everett, aged 14, who took her own life after an extended period of bullying and cyberbullying. Parenting in the Digital World is designed to support parents, workers and young people to play an active role in the digital world by empowering, rather than scaring them. It is evidence based and discusses the latest research available and presents it in a way that is easy to understand. Parenting in the Digital World Workshops are coming to Shepparton on 25, 26 and 27 June.
