in-Language Help for the Census



Census officers will be visiting several locations over the next few days to help people with the Census form. In-language help will be given for Darai, Hazaragi, Arabic, Kirundi, Swahili languages.


The Australian Bureau of Statistics – and its Census Officers will be availble at several locations in Shepparton to give assistance with “Fill in Form” for the 2021 Census. Below the dates for Fill in Form sessions that will be attended by Community Field Officers who will offer “in language support”.

Nabi Akram Mosque

17 Enterprise Drive Shepparton-with support in Dari and Hazaragi

Wednesday 11th August 2 p.m.- 6 p.m.

Thursday 12th August 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

African House

**- 54 Poplar Avenue Shepparton – with support in Arabic, Dari, Hazaragi, Kirundi and Swahili
 

Friday 13th 9.30-4.30 p.m.

Tuesday 17th 9.30 – 4.30 p.m.

Thursday 19th 9.30 – 4.30 p.m.

 

**Please note** Due to social distancing, there will be a maximum of 18 people inside at any one time including ABS Staff.

 

Senior Citizens Centre

Outside Shepparton Market Place

In addition to this there is also a Pop-Up Hub* that will be located at the Shepparton Market Place on the following days:

 Thursday 12th, from 10.00-5.00 p.m.

Friday 13th, from 10.00-5.00 p.m.

Saturday the 14th of August from 10.00-5.00 p.m.

*Please note-this is general information, however our community field officers can also speak French, Kirundi, Swahili and Dinka.
