About the Anti-Racism Strategy

Together with Victoria’s Anti-Racism Taskforce, we are developing Victoria’s first ever Anti-Racism Strategy, due to be released in mid-2022.

The strategy will seek to proactively prevent and address racism in Victoria and improve the lives of our state’s multicultural and multifaith communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Over the next few months, we will be holding targeted consultations with multicultural and multifaith communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations, key sector organisations, academics and subject matter experts.

How to Participate

It is important to us that a wide cross section of the Victorian community provides input into the strategy development and we want all Victorians have an opportunity to have their say.

In this survey, we invite you to tell us:

• your experiences of racism and discrimination in Victoria, and Australia more broadly
• what you believe are the key issues, priorities and needs that should be addressed in the Anti-Racism Strategy
• your ideas on effective ways to reduce racism here in Victoria.

Your input will inform the focus and strategic direction of the strategy.

This survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete

All answers are anonymous. We ask that you avoid including any identifying information about yourself or anyone else in your answers.

Next Steps

Data and information from this survey will be shared with the Anti-Racism Taskforce after this consultation closes.

Your input will help inform the development of Victoria’s first Anti-Racism Strategy.

The Strategy will be launched in mid-2022.
