Votes that Matter: Conversations with the Candidates

Votes that Matter: Conversations with the Candidates

The Women’s Collective – by the Victorian Women’s Trust, the Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District and Matters that Count will conduct a community forum – in particular to invigilate the candidates on women’s issues and multicultural communities.

Throughout this election campaign there has been little attention to the views of multicultural communities.

A group of local women have joined together to conduct a forum and invite the major candidates.

The Women’s Collective are contacting candidates most likely to be elected to represent us in this seat of Nicholls at the upcoming federal election. The Women’s Collective are a group of women from diverse backgrounds who are involved in social and community development work.

All candidates for the Division of Nicholls have been sent a list of eight questions which will be addressed at the Community Forum.
