Rental Rights Forum

Tenants Victoria and Multicultural Community

Tenants Victoria is conducting a FREE Rental Rights Forum, online, on Wednesday, 27 July at 7:00PM. All renters welcome.

Tenants Victoria know many people rent their homes in the western suburbs – and Regional Victoria – who are facing additional financial pressures this winter. Tenants Victoria, the peak body for renters in our state, wants to help in practical ways.

Tenants Victoria would like to invite you and members of your community to a helpful forum to explain rental rights from the point of view of local renters.

Guided by our expert lawyer, Ben Cording, the online forum presents useful information for people who rent their homes in the Wyndham local government area. You will also have the chance to ask a question!

Find out helpful information about these topics:

  • Repairs, including what to do if your heater is faulty and the landlord won’t fix it
  • Mould in your bathroom or elsewhere – often the landlord is responsible for removing it
  • Ways you can cut your gas and electricity running costs
  • What to do if you get behind on your rent payments

Benv will answer common questions on renting, with a real understanding of the needs of diverse renters in the Wyndham community facing the high cost of living right now. The information he will present is really practical.

All are welcome to attend and learn more about the rules of renting – and your rights.

The forum is on Wednesday 27 July 22, 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm
