The Department of Agriculture (Victoria) has developed a brochure translated into 29 languages. This brochure gives advice about the Queensland Fruit Fly in your garden. Languages included are Arabic, Dari, Hazaraghi, Hindi, Kirundi, Pashto, Persian, Punjabi, Swahili, Tongan, Turkish and Vietnamese.
Services Australia has updated the Recently arrived in Australia? brochure. The Recently arrived in Australia? brochure is useful for people who have recently moved to Australia. The brochure is available in 12 languages: Arabic, Burmese, Chinese (Simplified), Dari, Hazaragi, Korean, Nepali, Persian (Farsi), Punjabi, Spanish, Urdu and Vietnamese.
The Victorian Government’s Digital Jobs program is building the state’s digital workforce by training and upskilling mid-career Victorians so they can transition into digital careers. Information is available in Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Urdu and Vietnamese.
The Country Fire Authority has provided fire safety information in 12 languages. It is expected that Victoria will face challenges with fire safety this coming summer. The CarerHelp Project has launched new translated resources on the CarerHelp website to help Australia’s diverse communities and carers, who speak in languages other than English, make the best possible end of life care decisions.
