3,000 Humanitarian places for Afghanistan

Department of Immigration and CitizenshipThe Australian Government today announced that an initial 3,000 humanitarian places will be allocated to Afghan nationals within Australia’s 13,750 annual program. Australia will give first priority to Afghan nationals within the offshore humanitarian program and afford them visa processing priority in the year ahead.

Testing site - Shepparton
A GV Health spokesperson has responded to the closure of some drive-through testing sites, saying the temporary closures is a “traffic management procedure”.

“When the signs state they are closed, this is a temporary traffic management procedure to manage the risk of vehicles queuing on roads and parking in unsafe locations.

“The wait time is around three hours, so please be patient and take reading material, snacks and water.”

Saturday COVID-19 vaccination bookings available in Shepparton

EntryGoulburn Valley Health’s COVID-19 vaccination program has ramped up with Shepparton’s COVID-19 Vaccination Hub open this Saturday, and plenty of bookings available. It comes as demand for vaccination has increased significantly, with more people eligible to be vaccinated and the Victorian Government targeting one million COVID-19 vaccinations in five weeks.
