KIDs voucher program

Get Active VictoriaThe Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each. Families on SHEV or temporary visas can apply.


Eligibility and Program Dates
The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their children involved in organised sport and active recreation activities by reimbursing for membership fees, uniforms, and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each.

Eligible children must be Victorian residents, aged 4 to 18 experiencing financial hardship, who:

have a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, as well as a Medicare Card. They can apply direct to www.getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers are from a family on a temporary visa, seeking asylum or are undocumented migrant. If so, please contact the Brotherhood of St Laurence to be assessed for Special Consideration.

Please contact us at GetActiveKids@bsl.org.au if you are/or know of, a family on a temporary visa to gain support to access the voucher.  

Special consideration also applies for children named on their own valid Health Care Card or residing in Care Services.

Applications for vouchers in Round 2 of the program open at 10am on Monday 31 May 2021 and close at 5pm on Friday 9 July 2021. Two more rounds will be opened before April 2022.

Activities
Vouchers are available for eligible activities provided by certain organisations. Find out if your local club is included.

Eligible sports and recreation activities are listed here. The activity must be delivered by a club that is associated with a recognised organisation. Use the link under the activity to find out if your local club is included.

Uniforms & Equipment
The cost of uniforms and equipment can be reimbursed too if you pay for membership expenses within the expenditure dates. We’ve provided a guide to help identify the kind of equipment that may be reimbursed.

How to apply
