Filipino Australian Friends Association will conduct a visit to the snow – at Mt Buller – on Saturday 3 August. This will be a day trip with meals catered.

UN Youth Consultation for ages 13 – 25
In partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Youth Representative travels Australia consulting with young people on a National Listening Tour before representing us at the United Nations General Assembly.
Celebrate South Sudanese Independence Day
The South Sudanese Independence Day Celebration is free and runs from 3.30pm to 9pm on Saturday, July 13, at the Shepparton Senior Citizens Centre, 132 Welsford St. All are welcome to attend.
Syrian community the next to take on Culture Corner
Greater Shepparton’s Syrian community will take over the Mall from 10am-2pm, showcasing some of their traditional clothing, music, food and drinks including their much-loved kebabs and falafel wraps.
Albury Wodonga: AfroBeat Festival 2019
AfroBeat 2019 is part of a two day festival held in Refugee Week and is supported by Albury-Wodonga Ethnic Communities Council, City of Wodonga, and the Victorian Government.
African Community – Business literacy and entrepreneurial skills training
Ethnic Council officers attended the Shepparton Business Centre to hear about a program designed to assist and enable the African community with business literacy and entrepreneurial skills training. The project is being run by RMIT School of Management, Program Leaders – Dr Nthati Rametse and Dr Michael Muchiri and is expected to commence in Shepparton later this year.
Multifaith Prayers for South Sudan
The GV South Sudanese Community in collaboration with the Shepparton Interfaith Network will hold Multifaith Prayers for South Sudan on the evening of Monday 29 July commencing at 6PM.
Celebrating the Filipino Community
Greater Shepparton’s Filipino community will take over Maude St Mall on Saturday for the latest Culture Corner showcase. Filipino community members will share traditional clothing, music, food and drinks, including the much-loved bihon noodles and spring rolls, as part of a Greater Shepparton City Council multicultural initiative to highlight the city’s cultural diversity.
