Parenting in the Digital World – Dolly’s Dream

Dolly’s Dream was set up in memory of Amy ‘Dolly’ Everett, aged 14, who took her own life after an extended period of bullying and cyberbullying. Parenting in the Digital World is designed to support parents, workers and young people to play an active role in the digital world by empowering, rather than scaring them. It is evidence based and discusses the latest research available and presents it in a way that is easy to understand. Parenting in the Digital World Workshops are coming to Shepparton on 25, 26 and 27 June.

Visit to Shepparton Law Courts

Shepparton Law CourtsStudents from Shepparton English Language Centre visited the new Shepparton Law Courts on Tuesday, 4 June. Students at the Language Centre are all from overseas – new settlements and refugees. A court visit is important, for in some middle-eastern cultures, to be seen at court is culturally a matter of shame. So the visit enabled all the students to feel at ease and learn about the Law Courts of Shepparton.
