Chinese Community at Culture Corner – Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District

Greater Shepparton’s Chinese Community will take over Maude Street Mall on Saturday 5th of October from 10am-2pm, showcasing some of their traditional clothing, music, food and their well known lion-dances. This event is presented by the Goulburn Valley Chinese Association.

The Greater Shepparton City Council initiative — Culture Corner — highlights cultural diversity in the region.

Hosted by the Goulburn Valley Chinese Association, this event showcases traditional food – dumplings, fried rice and noodles. Have your name scribed in calligraphy,and practice origami.

The big attractions of Culture Corner will be the Lion Dance and the Kung Fu show.

	The Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District acknowledges the Yorta Yorta People of the land which comprises the Goulburn Valley. We pay respect to tribal Elders, past, present and emerging and we celebrate their continuing culture and acknowledge the memory of their ancestors.
