Wise Well Women in collaboration with Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District will present a Community Health Information Session for the Arabic speaking (Iraqi and Syrian) speaking community – at St Paul’s African House on Monday 28 March 2022, from 10:30AM – 12:30PM. Halal snacks will be provided along with activities for children.

Health Information Session – Afghan (Dari) Community

Halal snacks will be provided along with activities for children.

Bridging the Migrant Health Gap

A female-led community health education program kicked off at St Paul’s Lutheran Church on Thursday 8 April, in a bid to improve health literacy among Shepparton’s diverse communities. Wise Well Women, a joint program convened by Lorna Gillespie and Christine Nunn, will assist 12 refugee and migrant women to provide a bridge between the health system and their respective communities.

	The Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District acknowledges the Yorta Yorta People of the land which comprises the Goulburn Valley. We pay respect to tribal Elders, past, present and emerging and we celebrate their continuing culture and acknowledge the memory of their ancestors.
	The Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District is a peak body whose mission is to promote and represent the social, cultural and economic well-being of ethnic communities in the Goulburn Valley Region through the provision of quality and innovative settlement, refugee support, community development, and information and advocacy services.
