Authorities have just provided an update on the situation across the state, which included a briefing on rivers in the Loddon Campaspe region. SES controller Tim Wiebusch said the Campaspe River is at minor flood levels, but said there was a chance of renewed rises in Rochester and Echuca.
Chris Hazelman, manager of the Ethnic Council of Shepparton, said while the multicultural communities’ efforts to help out on the ground had been “fantastic”, these groups need to be included in the emergency management planning process. “At the moment, [they are] not a priority in the planning processes,” Mr Hazelman said. “There should be more of a focus on who is actually being impacted, and how we actually provide services to those people.”

Goulburn Valley Water tell that the water is safe to drink and the toilets will flush properly. The flooding or stormwater may lift lids of sewer manholes or may bubble up through.
